Panel Damage Categories and Repairs
Damage to the panel of your vehicle can vary. It could be just a small scuff or scratch without a dent that may only require minor treatment or it could have heavier damage that requires dismantling the panel and getting it repaired. When a vehicle is brought in the workshop, our experts assess the damage and take one of the two main approaches to repair the damage.
If the damage is minimal then we mechanically sand out the damage and once the primer filler is applied and sanded, we apply the paint. However, if the damage is significant, then we take the panel off and hand it to the panel beating expert who work his magic to bring the panel back to its original shape and then we paint it to match the rest of the body. Sometimes even the panel beating is not the answer and we have to resort to the panel replacement option to keep the integrity of the whole car’s structure.
